From the Chairman’s Desk: THE CLINTON FOUNDATION

In the presidential campaign, we have heard a lot about the Clinton Foundation.

But have you ever wondered what it is all about and why we should know more about it? Columnist and TV commentator, Charles Krauthammer, recently wrote a very simple explanation of this Clinton venture. Here it is.

First, the Clinton’s created a separate foreign “charity” in Canada that received donations from a number of foreign governments and oligarchs, including many middle-eastern countries. In the Clinton case, over 1,000 contributions were received. The Canadian charity then bundled these donations and made a very large donation to the Clinton Foundation. It just so happens that the Canadian law prohibits the identification of individual donors.

The Foundation then spends some of this money on legitimate “good works”, maybe in the order of 10%. Experts believe much of the balance goes to “enrich the Clintons”, pay salaries to an untold number of “hangers on” and fund lavish travel expenses over the world. We know that Bill Clinton has received as much as $500,000 for some speeches and an estimated total of over 15 million dollars.

The net result: foreign money goes in to the Clinton’s pockets tax free and untraceable back to the donors. This is a textbook definition of money laundering. Now the question needs to be: Do we want this behavior rewarded?

If your answer is NO, then vote a straight Republican ticket!
